Job vacancy for Process Engineer in an Oil and Gas Company

The job holder will play a process engineering role within SEPLAT Engineering Team. The role will be to assure optimal and safe utilization of existing producing assets and Pipeline/Flowline facilities for enhanced oil and gas production through facilities/process optimization and surveillance engineering activities.  The position will also be responsible for process design for new assets as well as act as the Technical authority for process design work in Seplat.
Objectives

1.    Provide front-line engineering support to Operations & Maintenance for all producing assets to ensure reduction in production deferments and optimal utilization of surface facilities.

2.    Proactive monitoring and intervention to ensure optimised performance of producing facilities

3.    Develop and maintain process models (HYSYS, PIPESIM, etc.) for all producing/evacuation facilities to ensure production optimization..

4.    Establish operating envelops and limit diagrams for all producing facilities to ensure optimal and safe use of facilities.

5.    Ensure optimized and safe use of existing producing facilities by proposing modifications in hard ware or process, where necessary.

6.    Lead and drive surface facilities engineering participation in integrated Production System Optimisation (PSO) activities.

7.    Facilitate, review, and secure approvals for Technical Change Requests from Operations and Maintenance to ensure technical and safety integrity of all producing facilities.

8.    Ensure availability of up-to-date As-built documentation for all existing producing facilities, including Pipeline/flowline.

Requirements

- Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering ( minimum of 2nd class upper).

- Masters degree in engineering

- 15 years (minimum) post qualification  experience in  Oil and Gas process engineering

- Skills in the use of process softwares  Hysys, Pipesim, pipephase etc.

- Experience in Oil and Gas field production

- Knowledge of Oil Field contracts and contracting strategies
