Job vacancy for Human Resources Generalist

The successful candidate will be responsible for all human resource activities for the company. Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation. Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all human resource activities which include and is not limited to employment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, and training and development.
  • Interview job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with employment agencies, universities and other recruitment sources.
  • Review, recommend and monitor performance management and improvement systems.
  • Prepare and maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems. Complete salary survey questionnaires.
  • Prepare, process and distribute payroll.
  • Design and conduct new employee orientations.
  • Administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
  • Recommend, develop and schedule training and development courses.
  • Review and provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
  • Recommend, develop and maintain human resource data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
  • Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Perform specific research/investigation into operational issues, as requested.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
  • Desirable Knowledge and Skills Requirement
  • Bachelor's Degree with three to five years of human resource working experience.
  • Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines.
  • Knowledge of federal, state employment and benefit laws.
  • Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, provide timely recommendations and accurate information.
  • Be strategic in thinking, planning and result driven.
  • A true professional possessing the highest ethical and moral standards.
  • Demonstrated commitment to proactively completing tasks and objectives
  • Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image both within and publicly.
  • A post graduate degree e.g. an MBA or MSc. in any related HR field with professional qualifications such as CIPD, CIPM will be of added advantage.
