Job vacancy for Process & Control Engineers in Port Harcourt

A small project team responsible for implementing Operating Integrity and Process safety standards in SPDC facilities are seeking to engage service contractors who will provide the personnel that will implement this project. 
Specific responsibility is on facilities alarms rationalization and its estimated that this will take like two years. 
Responsibilities

·         Facilitate alarm rationalization with others according to DEP 32.80.10.14-Gen.

·         Upload all required information into a VARIABLE Tables of Alarm Catalogue

·         Coordinate and facilitate activities of all team members

·         Carry out quality checking of alarm catalogue as been developed

·         Carry out health check of documents for necessary alarm rationalization

·         Deliver daily progress report and daily version of Variable Table at the end of each day

·         Train the other newer team members as may be required

·         Assurance that alarm set points are tied back to design data – the integrity envelope is correct

·         Rationalization of alarms to minimum required to safely run the plant.

·         Supports Proactive monitoring of key process parameters by control room operators

·         Roll out and monitoring compliance and sustainability of minimum      global standards in

·           Critical field documentations gap closures

·           Overrides/facility registers

·           Permit to Work effectiveness monitoring and coaching

·           Statement of Fitness for facility restarts

·           Field competency requirements

·           Communication and shift handover requirements

Requirements

• Instrument and controls engineers or process engineers (Bachelors) 
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry. 
• Previous experience with DCS vendors like Emerson Delta V, Yokogawa etc will be an added advantage
