Job summary
Ensuring the preparation and performance of (periodic) electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, emergency and preventive maintenance work on buildings, installations and equipment within the company so that the continuity of the operational processes remains guaranteed. Managing and supervising fitters (own staff as well as those of third parties).
Maintenance strategy
Drawing up (long-term) annual plans for technical maintenance repairs and modifications to buildings, installations and equipment at several locations. To ensure that the technical operating resources remain in a good condition. Gathers and analyzes a range of data that is important for this. Assesses proposals from technicians and audits undertaken. Discusses plans and requirements with the competent authorities with regard to feasibility and tests the functionality of the proposed plans. Draws up (long-term) plans, including budgets and priorities as well as planning schedules. Explains the plans and justifies these plans to Operations Manager. Manages spare parts inventory and requests. Makes preparations for the maintenance work in order for it to be performed efficiently and safely. Draws up associated work permits, modification requests including budgets and consults with the Operations Manager with regard to priorities. Assesses and supplements (supplied) work orders, drawings, manuals, permits etc. Draws up work instructions and undertakes or arranges for task risk analyses to be undertaken in conjunction with the HSE Manager, Operations Supervisor and contractors. Coordinates regularly with the Field Engineer. Implements the required safety measures in accordance with the law and legislation and company’s operating guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of HND/Bachelors degree in Engineering from a reputable institution
Extensive experience gained as a fitter in an industrial working environment
Extensive management experience
Experience of participating in and executing maintenance projects
Minimum of 3years relevant work experience gained in a
comparable job
